CERTOSA DI BOLOGNA

The ongoing photographic series "Certosa di Bologna," started in 2021, captures the essence of the passage of time and change within the magnificent cemetery of Bologna. Through my lens, I explore the ephemeral and veiled beauty that lies within the cemetery, capturing the subtle changes that occur over time. Each image is a portal to a hidden world, where the past and present blend together in a poetic dance. The decay of the tombs and the subtle play of light create a surreal atmosphere, inviting the viewer to contemplate the beauty in impermanence. Like the Certosa itself, this project is a tribute to the passage of time, to the ephemeral nature of all things, and to the enduring power of art to capture moments that would otherwise slip away into the mists of history.

The series comprises large images (60X90 cm) printed on 82X112 cm fine art paper.
